Hosted by Rachael Ray, 30 Minute Meals airs on the Food Network. In the fall of2001, she launched the first of four Food Network shows. To help those who have limited time to cook, the show focuses on quick and easy recipes. The show is filmed live-to-tape, with Ray preparing most of the content in real time.. In2006, the show was honored with an Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Service Program. New adaptations of classic meals, including some that take a long time to prepare, are frequently featured on the show's menus. Ray concentrates on meals that can be prepared in less than an hour. He's also done two Thanksgiving in 60 shows based on the concept of an hour-long Thanksgiving meal. For starters, Ray always begins the show by saying: "Greetings, I'm Rachael Ray, and I create 30-minute dinners. Now that means that in the time it takes you to watch this program, I will have prepared a great and healthy supper from start to finish."
