16 and Pregnant is an American reality television show that premiered on MTV on June 11, 2009. In it, a group of high school pregnancies are chronicled as they are dealt with by the young women involved. When a teenager is four-and-a-half-to-eight months pregnant, she appears in a new episode each time. After a few months of age, the episode is over. Each episode begins with a notebook-paper animation highlighting the show's best moments before the commercial breaks. Teen Mom, Teen Mom2, and Teen Mom 3 are all spin-offs of 16 and Pregnant. Sixteen and Pregnant: New Moms explores the experiences of four women from the show's first season as they adjust to life as new moms. The series' next fifth season has already begun casting as of July 2013.
