Jack Wallace, a British commander who has received numerous decorations for his service, is tasked with leading a group of Allied commandos beyond enemy lines in order to free Professor Hopper, an American scientist who is being held captive by the Nazis. Because the outcome of this mission will determine the course of history and because failure is not an option, these improbable heroes must travel through enemy territory with an untrained US civilian while avoiding brutal Nazi mercenaries and nonstop bombing.
