Without Anesthesia
There is an issue for the powers that be when a well-known Polish journalist reveals his full political expertise on a television show that features questions and answers on an international conference by a panel of journalists. When he's away, his opponents revoke his privileges. As a result of the shock of being "unwanted," his wife begins an affair with a jealous young rival and wants to divorce him after 15 years of marriage and two children. To help him unravel these knots, she offers no explanations. All of his moves are incorrect. To ease the disappointment of students who had planned to attend his session, he drinks heavily with them. One of journalism's most powerful voices has been silenced.
