Whale Island
Taiwan is on an island. Even though it is surrounded by water, the politics, history, and religious beliefs of the people on this island make them turn their backs on the sea. Liao Hung-chi, a writer of oceanic literature, and Ray Chin, an underwater photographer, take the audience to the sea and into the water. They make us want to learn more about the ocean and think about how it might affect our lives and the future of our country.
