Wasted Talent

Wasted Talent is a gritty documentary directed by Steve Stanulis and produced by Noel Ashman that looks at the temptations and hardships that many young celebrities face on their path to recognition. It follows actor Lillo Brancato, who was once dubbed the "new Robert De Niro" following his breakout performances in A Bronx Tale (De Niro's directorial debut), Renaissance Man, Crimson Tide, and the iconic television drama The Sopranos. Brancato, on the other hand, became entangled in Hollywood's underworld, eventually being arrested for the death of a new york city police officer on a drug excursion gone horrifically wrong. Brancato was acquitted of murder, but served eight and a half years in prison for an attempted burglary conviction. The young actor achieved sobriety and sobriety during his time in prison and is now attempting to rehabilitate himself in the fickle world of entertainment.
