Wadjda
Wadjda is a 10-year-old Saudi Arabian girl who lives in a suburb of Riyadh, the country's capital city. In spite of the fact that she lives in a traditional society, Wadjda is outgoing, entrepreneurial, and constantly pushing the boundaries of what she can get away with. A gorgeous green bicycle is up for sale after Wadjda gets into a fight with her friend Abdullah, who turns out to be a neighborhood youngster she shouldn't be playing with. She is keen to get her hands on the bicycle so that she may beat Abdullah in a race. Wadjda's mother, on the other hand, will not allow it because she is concerned about the ramifications of a society that views bicycles as detrimental to a girl's virginity.
