Moscow has been ravaged by a lethal virus of unknown origin. Sergey, his girlfriend, and their autistic son join forces with his exwife, their son, and a group of other people to flee the quarantine zone before dying a slow and terrible death. A cottage exists somewhere far away, on a desolate island in Karelia—their last chance to begin afresh. The voyage, however, will not be simple, as the deadly virus and interpersonal strife threaten to tear the gang apart.
