Violent Is the Word for Curly

The Three Stooges are left in charge of a petrol station and end up blowing up the vehicle of their first clients, which happens to be three prominent academics from Europe. The stooges end up in "Mildew," a women's college where the three professors are anticipated to be because they stole some of the academics' clothing. The guys are appointed to their positions on the teaching staff when they are taken to be the genuine article. When the actual academics arrive, the stooges try to persuade the school's sponsor, a wealthy woman, that the athletics program is more vital than the academic one. Their show of athleticism comes to a crashing halt when the real professors hand them a basketball containing nitroglycerin as a prop.
