Valerian and Laureline are human spies in the year 28th century, tasked with maintaining law and order throughout the human regions they are responsible for protecting. The two are sent by the Minister of Defense on a mission to Alpha, an ever-growing metropolis where species from all over the cosmos have congregated for ages to exchange information, intelligence, and cultures. Alpha is constantly expanding. The peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets is under threat, and Valerian and Laureline must work quickly to discover the threat and protect not only Alpha, but the entire universe as well.
