While searching for the individual who was responsible for the death of a young woman in the dubious community of Deer Meadow, Washington, FBI Agent Desmond mysteriously vanishes. The murderer is never brought to justice, and after having disturbing visions and contacts with the supernatural, Special Agent Dale Cooper makes the grim prognostication that the person responsible for the murders will take another life. While all is going on, in the quaint town of Twin Peaks, the hedonistic beauty Laura Palmer is associating with scumbags and appears to be heading toward a terrible end.
