Tristana
Tristana is a young Spanish lady entrusted in the care of Don Lope, a protective but poor lord. So Don sells his possessions to escape manual labor and advocates for the oppressed. He exploits Tristana, who leaves him for Horacio. She returns to Don Lope when she gets sick, unable to commit. He proposes to her after she loses her leg to cancer.
