Blind and deaf Deaf-and-dumb Sergey is enrolled in a boarding school for the deaf and stupid. It's up to him to navigate his way through the Tribe, the school's network of criminals and prostitutes, in this new environment. He rises through the ranks of the gang by participating in a number of robberies. It was only after encountering Anya, a concubine of the Chief, that the young man was forced to defy all of the tribe's customs.
