After being found in the back seat of a car with another female on prom night in 1993, Cameron is transported to a gay conversion therapy center. The center, which is run by Dr. Lydia Marsh and her brother, Reverend Rick, is based on repentance for "same sex attraction." Cameron encounters a gang of fellow sinners, including amputee stoner Jane and her friend, the Lakota Two-Spirit Adam, in the face of intolerance and denial. As they struggle to stay alive, this gang of kids becomes an odd family.
