A meanness with no reason? Elvis quits the Navy and goes to Texas, where he gets in touch with his father, a pastor at a Christian community church, whom he has never met. Pastor Dave tells Elvis to stay away and tells his family not to have anything to do with him. He doesn't tell his family that Elvis is his son from a relationship before he became a Christian. But Elvis has already met Malerie, the 16-year-old daughter of the pastor. Elvis starts to woo Malerie, while Dave thinks about his actions and comes to a new conclusion. Can anyone make things right with God? Is God listening?
