When Bobby dies in a car accident, he is not allowed to enter heaven and is forced to remain in one of the lower levels until he has worked long enough as a guardian angel to earn his right to paradise. One of his jobs is Lenny, a talented young man who adores his classmate Sharon, the most attractive girl in the class. But she is completely unaware that he is ready to commit suicide. Bobby stops this by dressing Lenny up as a playboy and tough guy so that he may get what he wants, although knowing that this is not the greatest option.
