The Hagstone Demon
Douglas Elmore is an alcoholic writer and carer who is haunted by visions of his dead wife and hunted by otherworldly powers seeking vengeance for his past wrongdoings. When residents start showing up dead in his brownstone apartment building's halls and stairwells, Douglas suspects Karna, a peculiar but sexually appealing homeless prostitute who lives in his basement during the day and prowls the deserted city at night. However, as the bodies begin to mount up, Douglas is divided between his developing obsession with Karna and the danger of becoming a main suspect in a murder probe. Before the memories of his past return to haunt him, Douglas must discover the source of the evil that has taken up residence in the old Hagstone building.
