After Gong Yutian goes to Southern China to find an heir for his family, Ip Man's peaceful life in Foshan changes. Ip Man then meets Gong Er, who challenges him so she can restore her family's honor. After the Second Sino-Japanese War, Ip Man moves his family to Hong Kong and works hard to support them. In the meantime, Gong Er chooses to get revenge on Ma San for killing her father.
