Victor Sluzhkin, a geography teacher in Perm (Urals), gets lost in a blur of hard vodka, nymphet-like students, and the burden of teaching teens. Sluzhkin, as the pupils call him, strives to escape the hard, monotonous, stultifying reality of Russian rural life by rafting the Urals.
