The Frisco Kid
Rabbi Avram arrives in Philadelphia from Poland on his way to San Francisco, where he will take over as the next rabbi of a congregation. His innocence and inexperience lead to his being deceived by con guys into paying for the trip to the west, after which they abandon him and his things along a barren road. Tommy, a stranger who happens to be a bank robber, becomes his friend, and the two of them have many adventures together on their voyage.
