As a hardworking Christian woman, Alice Pratt managed a modest cafe to support herself and her two daughters. After graduating from college, Andrea worked in the construction industry, while her sister, Pam, stayed and worked at Alice's diner. With the same company as his wife, Chris dreams of launching his own business, but he is married to Andrea. However, she's cheating on him with their employer, William Cartwright, and he knows about it. William is the son of Alice's best friend, Charlotte Cartwright, who is very rich and lives in a nice house. During the course of a road trip, Alice and Charlotte are joined by William, whose ambition and infidelity set off a chain of events that will damage the families of both couples.
