The End of St. Petersburg (Russian: ??? a???-???????, translit. Konets Sankt-Peterburga) is a silent film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and produced by Mezhrabpom. It was released in 1927. The End of St Petersburg, commissioned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the October Revolution, was to be Pudovkin's most famous picture, cementing his reputation as one of the best Soviet montage film filmmakers. Along with Mother (1926) and Storm Over Asia (1927), the picture is part of Pudovkin's'revolutionary trilogy' (1928).
