The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson
After her husband departed to go droving sheep in the high country in the year1893, Molly Johnson and her children struggle to survive in solitude in the harsh Australian outback. Molly is eight months pregnant at the time. One day, she comes home to find an Aboriginal fugitive named Yakada who is injured on her property. He is shackled. As they forge what seems like an improbable bond with one another, he starts to spill the beans about who she really is. When Nate Clintoff, the new lawman in town, finds out that Molly's husband is genuinely gone, he becomes suspicious and orders his constable to conduct an investigation.
