The Christmas Pageant
Vera Parks, a Broadway director who is extremely obsessive and demanding, is sacked from yet another job, leaving her with no choice but to accept a position directing a tiny town Christmas pageant in upstate New York, which she does. The fact that the production is so simple astounds Vera, who attempts to back out, but is persuaded to do so by some of the people who believe in their community. Vera is taken aback by the warmth and attractiveness of the small town, and she even comes to enjoy the experience of directing the pageant, much to her surprise. As soon as Vera learns that her ex-fiance, Jack, recommended her for the position, she becomes furious. Vera, on the other hand, starts to appreciate the gesture as she becomes closer to both Jack and his small daughter over time. The question is whether or not love will be waiting in the wings this time.
