In rural Connecticut, baseball players Ben and Mickey are trying to stay alive when zombies start to spread around. It's against the rules for them to work together as a battery: a catcher and a pitcher. They work together to get the batter, who hits the ball, out of the way. It just so happens that the batter in this case happens to be a zombie. Ben is very tough, and Mickey is very soft. They often disagree on how to deal with the situation. Then, through their walkie-talkies, they hear a voice. Mickey thinks that salvation is near, but does Ben have a point?
