After returning home from serving in Afghanistan, Davy and Ally must re-learn how to navigate life in their hometown of Edinburgh. Both are struggling to adjust to life outside of the army and to deal with the stresses of regular life, such as family, work, and interpersonal connections. Sunshine on Leith is based on the smash-hit stage production of the same name, which features music by pop-folk band The Proclaimers as its centerpiece.
