Henry Letham, a new patient of psychiatric physician Sam Foster, professes to be suicidal. For the purpose of diagnosing him, Sam goes to Henry's previous therapist, as well as his mother, who has previously stated that Henry killed both of his parents. During this time, Sam's mental health begins to deteriorate. Later, after discovering a clue to Henry's suicide plan, he rushes to intervene.
