Smilla's Sense of Snow

Half-Danish, half-Greenlander Smilla Jaspersen tries to come to terms with the loss of a young kid who fell from her apartment building's roof. Smilla, suspicious of any wrongdoing, follows a trail of evidence that point to a mystery Greenland trip that has been made by a hidden business. From Copenhagen and western Greenland were shot scenes from the film. The film was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 47th Berlin International Film Festival.
