Grigory was born into an oligarch family and is so spoiled that he thinks he is above the law. When he goes too far with his adventures and risks going to jail, his father takes action. He plans to "rehabilitate" his son with the help of a friend. They rebuild an abandoned village in the style of the 19th century. Soon after that, Grigory is set up to be in a car accident, and he "goes back in time" and comes back as a serf. All of the individuals he meets there are actors. Everywhere there are hidden cameras, and a group of psychologists watch Grigory. He will have to learn how to appreciate life and work hard.
