An underwater cave diving team embarks on a perilous mission to the world's largest, most beautiful, and least accessible tunnel system in the 3-D action-thriller Sanctum, directed by James Cameron and executive produced by Cameron. The group must battle roaring water, treacherous terrain, and mounting panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea after being forced deep into the tunnels by a tropical storm. For months, master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has been exploring the Esa-ala Caves in the South Pacific. The team, which includes Frank's son Josh (Rhys Wakefield) and investor Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd), is forced to drastically change their plans after their exit is blocked by a flash flood. With supplies running low, the crew must cross an underwater maze in order to survive. As time passes, they are forced to confront the unavoidable dilemma of whether they will be able to survive or whether they will be stuck for the rest of their lives.
