Resting Place
A television film set in 1972 in Rockville, Georgia. Major Kendall Laird, a Survival Assistance Officer, arrives in this sleepy little town carrying the body of Lieutenant Dwyte Johnson, a Vietnam war hero. It is Laird's responsibility to assist Johnson's parents with the funeral arrangements for their son. However, because the deceased hero was black, the white racists who run the town's "all-white" cemetery refuse to let his parents enter.
