Respiro
Grazia is a free-spirited mother of three who is married to a timid fisherman and resides on the picturesque but remote Mediterranean island of Lampedusa. She exhibits symptoms of manic-depressive behavior; one moment she is laughing hysterically and swimming in the ocean in her underwear, and the next she is curled up on her bed. Adult members of her extended family contemplate putting her to an institution of some kind in Northern Italy, out of her hearing range.
