Diancie loses control of the Heart Diamond, and her country descends into anarchy. Diancie begs Ash and his pals to go hunt the Life Pokémon, Xerneas, to restore the Heart Diamond. Destruction's Pokémon Yveltal stands in their way. They are ambushed by Team Rocket, Marilyn Flame, and Ninja Riot. Travellers Millis Steel and Argus Steel help them escape the Cocoon of Destruction.
