Little vagrant Pil and her three tamed weasels live on the streets of the medieval city of Roc-en-Brume. She survives by stealing food from the palace of the evil Regent, Tristain. Pil disguises herself as a princess one day to evade his guards. Together with Crobar, a large, clumsy guard who believes she is a noble, and Rigolin, a young, deranged jester, she goes on a strange, delirious trip. Under a curse, Roland, the true heir to the throne, must be rescued by Pil. This expedition will turn the entire kingdom on its head and educate Pil that we all possess noble qualities.
