Peyton Place
Constance McKenzie, a shopkeeper in the ostensibly respectable New England village of Peyton Place, seeks to atone for a previous indiscretion that resulted in the birth of her illegitimate daughter Allison by adopting a chaste and prudish attitude toward all things sexual in her daily life. Constance can't help but be attracted to handsome new teacher Michael Rossi, despite the fact that she knows she shouldn't be. Meanwhile, Allison, who aspires to be as free-spirited and carefree as the town's "fast girl," Betty Anderson, finds herself falling in love with Norman Page, a mismatched mama's boy who has a complicated past.
