November Rule
After the loss of his father, Steve, an up-and-coming sports shoe entrepreneur, has instituted a "November rule" to keep ladies who seem to be growing serious about their relationship at a distance. Steve fabricates a massive lie on November 1st every year in order to end his relationship with his current girlfriend. While it may have worked for him in the past, he now recognizes that his immature and arbitrary rule has cost him the love of his life. After Leah's new relationship with James Avedon, it seems unlikely that he will be able to win her back.
