My Life So Far
In this memoir, the experiences of a family growing up on a post-World War I British estate are chronicled, including the lives of a strict disciplinarian and her daughter, her inventor husband, their ten-year-old son, and his older sister A number of suitors, including an aviator, walk through the door of the young woman's home in an attempt to impress her. When the elder woman's son arrives up to the estate with his French fiancée, everything is thrown into disarray and chaos ensues. The little kid develops an unexpected interest in her sexual attractiveness, and his father is troubled by his own non-Victorian thoughts for the woman he loves.
