Finding love is never an easy process. When it comes to being an Indian-American first generation, the chances are limited. Beautiful, intelligent, and amusing, she is family-oriented, caring, and, in keeping with tradition, she hails from the Indian subcontinent (though hopefully raised in the US). Her last name should be Patel, by the way, because in India, Patels are more likely than not to marry other Patels as well. In order to find another Patel yearning to be loved, Ravi resolves to quit his relationship with his American fiancée (who by all accounts is the perfect match for him, save for her red hair and American name) and start on a worldwide search. To find a wife, he enlists the assistance of his matchmaker mother, attends a convention of Patels who live in the United States, and travels to India during wedding season. It's a comedic exploration of the topics that we all grapple with: What is love? Is it a feeling or a state of mind? What is the definition of happiness? Where are they, exactly, and how do we go about tracking them down?
