Theater actress Lillian Cooper's son passes away strangely. When the examining policeman rules the cause of death an accidental overdose, Lillian conducts her own investigation which leads her to a not likely alliance with her boy's previous pusher. On her quest for responses, Lillian hallucinates several of the renowned personalities she's used stage which act as her inner guide, advising her to retaliate her boy's death.
