Nola Devlin (Poppy Montgomery) works as an unassuming, frumpy magazine editor who is constantly overlooked and teased by her coworkers. When the sun goes down and she is hidden behind the anonymity and glow of her computer screen, she transforms into the famous and "reclusive" advice columnist Belinda Apple. Tired of being overworked and overweight, Nola's friends form the "Cinderella Pact," vowing to lose weight by following Apple's advice. When Nola's secret identity is jeopardized, she is forced to follow the advice of her alter ego. However, as the group of friends loses weight, their true issues become apparent, and better-than-expected life changes emerge.
