On the Big Island of Hawaii, it is Halloween, which means there is an aura of excitement and mischief. While surfing at sunset, three young friends, Kai, Eddie, and Leilani, discover a mystery idol hidden in a secret cave. They shortly discover that they have unintentionally released an ancient evil on the island in the shape of a gigantic pineapple-headed creature. The children receive assistance from some mysterious allies and learn that in order to defeat evil, Kai must explore his family' history and believe their ancient stories.
