Knucklehead
Mentally challenged Langston Bellows (Gbenga Akinnagbe) finds himself alone in Brooklyn housing complexes when his sibling goes missing. His mother (Alfre Woodard) has taken control of Langston, and he must take charge of his own destiny. For the sake of his health, the celebrity magazine journalist he believes can cure him sets out to find him. If Langston can achieve his goal of becoming "mentally excellent," he will be able to live with his lover, who may or may not be a product of his imagination. The search for his enigmatic doctor and hero brings him into contact with the sleazy world of pharmaceutical marketing. The people surrounding Langston aren't who they appear, and he's trying to break free of his shattered psyche and his mother's control over him.
