Jimmy Kilmartin is an ex-convict living in Astoria in the New York City borough of Queens, attempting to remain sober and establishing a family with his wife Bev. Jimmy is returned to prison when his cousin Ronnie leads him to collapse for driving an unlawful cargo of stolen autos, injuring police officer Calvin Hart. In exchange for his early release, Johnny is requested to help bring down Little Junior Brown, a local crime lord. Jimmy remarries and attempts to renew his relationship with his child. But Detective Hart sends him undercover to work with Junior and penetrate his operations. As soon as Little Junior murders an undercover federal agent as Jimmy watches, the unethical district attorney and the federal government further complicate his situation. He must defeat Junior or face the consequences.
