Hotel by the River

An elderly poet who is staying in a riverside motel for free summons his two estranged sons. This is because he feels as though he is about to die for no apparent reason. A young woman gets a hotel room after being betrayed by the man she was living with. She summons a friend for assistance. The poet spends the day with his boys, attempting to tie up loose ends in his life. However, accomplishing this in a single day is difficult. After a sudden, extraordinarily heavy snowstorm, he sees the young woman and her friend.
