Chris Hondros is a well-known war photographer who has won many awards for his work. HONDROS looks at the poignant and sometimes surprising stories behind Hondros' best-known photos. The events of 9/11 made Chris want to be a war photographer. He was one of the first in a new group of war photographers since Vietnam. HONDROS looks at how difficult it is to cover more than a decade of conflict while still living a normal life. Before, during, and after his photos were taken, the book looks at how he had to make quick, life-or-death decisions. This is how it works: Chris was shot and killed in Libya in 2011. He had a big impact on his job that is still being felt today.
