Henri 4
The rise of Henry of Navarre, a Protestant who became France's beloved King Henri IV, is shown in a wide-ranging, energetic movie. A lot of blood and raunchy sexual scenes are in Jo Baier's epic, but it's still a fun and exciting story. In the late 16th century, Catholics and Protestant Huguenots were at war in France, and they were fighting each other. Catherine de Medici, the French dowager queen, wants to make peace, so she invites Henry to her court to marry her daughter. This brings together the two warring groups. However, the Catholics killed the Protestant wedding guests on St. Bartholomew's Day, which is now known as the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre. Henry, who is now married, has to use all of his wits to both stay alive and move for the throne. This is how it was written by the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
