This action-packed Western is based on the true story of Bass Reeves, the first black marshal in the Wild West. It tells his story. After the Civil War, he flees slavery and comes to Arkansas to work for the law. As a way to show off his skills, he must hunt down a dangerous outlaw with the help of a veteran. The criminal is getting deeper into the Cherokee Nation, and Reeves has to avoid bullets as well as a lot of prejudice in order to get his star and become a cowboy legend.
