A touching tribute to Bruce Vilanch, who creates material for famous figures such as Oscar hosts and prize recipients, as well as Presidents. We meet his mother and see images from his youth; he works for the Tribune in Chicago before heading west. We also see Bruce helping others prepare for Liz Taylor's 60th, Bill Clinton's 50th, and an AIDS awards banquet where the hirsute, rotund Vilanch lets his emotions show, as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, and Bette Midler talking with him and to the camera about working with him.
