Frank Goode, eight months after the death of his wife, is eager to see his four grown children again. Frank, despite the advice of his doctor, embarks on a road journey to reunite with his children after they all cancel their visits at the last minute. It becomes clear to Frank that each of his children isn't living the life they've made it out to be.
