Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead

Sue Ellen Crandell, a teen, is looking forward to her mother's summer vacation. Sue Ellen may party and have fun while the babysitter looks after her rowdy younger siblings. The babysitter, however, dies unexpectedly, leaving the Crandells short on funds. Sue Ellen gets a nice job in fashion by lying on her résumé about her age and expertise. However, while her siblings are having fun, she finds the disadvantages of adulthood.
